Press the share button in the upper right corner. Docs is blue but looks like this one. Then in that menu you can add people using their Google account email addresses (shown in step two) and make sure you choose Can Edit from the drop down box with the pencil and then hit Done.
Next to the docs visibility option, which is the first item in the sharing dialog, click Change. Select Public on the web. If youd like people to be able to edit, view, or comment on your doc, change the setting next to Access: Anyone (no sign-in required) at the bottom of the window. Click Save.
Tap the user list under Who has access (optional). This will open a list of all the people with access to the document. You can tap the icon drop-down next to a user here, and select Editor to grant them the ability to make edits.
Select the file you want to share. Click Share or Share . Under General access click the Down arrow . Choose Anyone with the link. To decide what role people will have, select Viewer, Commenter, or Editor. Click Copy link. Click Done. Paste the link in an email or any place you want to share it.
If you can View only Open the file. Click Request edit access. If you want, add a note to the owner of the file. Click Send request.
On your Android phone or tablet, open a document in the Google Docs app . Tap Edit . To select a word, double-tap it. Move the blue markers to select more text. Start editing. To undo or redo an action, click Undo or Redo .
Track Changes in Google Docs Open a Google doc. The first thing to do is open the Google Doc file where you want to track changes. Navigate to the version history. Find earlier versions of your draft. Rename earlier drafts. Undo changes. Check the comments thread.
