If the PDF file was created from a scanned document, make sure that OCR (Optical Character Recognition) was enabled when you converted the PDF file. OCR is enabled by default when you convert your files via the Export PDF services.
Open the Word document you want to add the PDF to. Click Insert Object Create from File. Browse for the PDF you want to insert. Click Okay.
To add or edit text in a PDF that was made in an Office program like Excel or Publisher, start with the original Office file.
