As your organizations administrator, you can create a consolidated view of user status and account activity. Under User Reports, the Accounts report provides details related to your users account status, like 2-Step Verification status and password strength.
The main types of activity that an audit log can track include: User activity. This includes logins, logouts, and any actions a user performs while using the system. Access control. System events. Data access. Configuration changes. Security events.
Definitions: A chronological record of system activities. Includes records of system accesses and operations performed in a given period.
Details included in audit logs Timestamp, location and TCP/IP protocol data. Event description and tags. Actors, groups, users, entity and device identification. Action types. Predefined metrics. Data access, login attempts, failures and authentication information. Error details.
Audit logs can be used to show that your organization met certain benchmarks (e.g., password security for CIS) during a specific time period. Audit logs contain detailed historical information that can be used to reconstruct the timeline of a system outage or incident.
In Resource, select the Google Cloud resource type whose audit logs you want to see. In Log name, select the audit log type that you want to see: For Admin Activity audit logs, select activity. For Data Access audit logs, select dataaccess.

Google Workspace Login Audit: Login Audit logs track user sign-ins to your domain. These logs only record the login event. They dont record which system was used to perform the login action. Login Audit writes Data Access audit logs only.
