Elective Classes Not Allowed are any courses that exceeds the number of credits for Elective Classes Allowed or do not apply to any requirement in the academic audit. Students should pay attention to this area, since In-Progress courses that appear in this section can affect financial aid eligibility.
To determine when you declared your Major or Minor, you can go to CUNYfirst Student Center Academics tab to see the Requirement Term listed, or consult your unofficial transcript and search for the first term in which the Major or Minor appears.
In order to take a course at another CUNY college, students apply for ePermits through the Self Service Student Center area of CUNYfirst. Students must submit one ePermit application for each course they wish to take on permit.
How current is my information in DegreeWorks? A. The information in DegreeWorks is refreshed each night. Any changes made today (e.g., grade changes or classes added/dropped) will be seen in DegreeWorks the next day.
What does the Elective Classes NOT Allowed mean? Elective classes not allowed may count towards the degree and total credit count. However, any course that exceeds the number of credits for Elective Classes Allowed or do not apply to any requirement, will fall into this section.
Applied Credits displayed in the header of the Degree block. All credits are included in the Overall hours. and the GPA. Applied Credits include all required blocks (major, conc, minor, other blocks and Electives to. meet degree hours found in the Electives allowed credits block)
