To remove graininess from photos in Photoshop, there is a special filter Filter - Noise - Reduce Noise.
To fix grainy photos, try using noise reduction filters in photo editing software, adjust exposure and contrast, and increase sharpness selectively.
There are a number of blur modes that can smooth out images to remove textures. Blur, Blur More, and Lens Blur all keep subjects in focus while obscuring background details. The Surface Blur filter preserves edges while blurring an image. Go to Filters and select the blur you want.
The first and most obvious solution is to work with as much light as possible. The more light you have, the more light your camera will be able to pick up, and the less grain your pictures will have as a result. If you are able to shoot in conditions that allow for the best natural light, this is the ideal way to go.
