Click your cursor in the table so that the table move handle appears outside the upper left corner, click the table move handle and press the Backspace key. If youre using Word and the table move handle doesnt appear, the document might not be in Print Layout view.
In the table, click the cell that you want to split. On the ribbon, select the Layout tab. Select Split Cells. In the Split Cells dialog, select the number of columns and rows that you want and then click OK.
Select the table that you want to apply a new or different table style to. On the ribbon, select the Table Design tab to see the Table Styles gallery, as shown below, and then select the table style that you want. To see more table styles, click the More drop-down arrow on the right of the Table Styles gallery.
On your computer, open a document or a slide in a presentation. Right-click a cell in a table from the row or column you want to delete. From the menu, choose Delete column, Delete row, or Delete table.
Press Backspace, or select the Table Tools Layout tab Delete, and then select an option. Note: In Excel, select a row or column that you want to delete, right-click and select Delete , and choose the option you want. Or select a cell, and then select Home Insert or Home Delete, and then choose an option.
Remove the link between Excel and PowerPoint Click on the linked element in PowerPoint. Open the drop-down menu on the callout that appears on top of the copied element. Click on Remove Link . The link between the Excel document and PowerPoint will be removed.
Select the Table Tools / Design tab on the ribbon. In the Draw Borders group, click Eraser. Click the line that you want to erase to remove it. When youre finished, click outside the table.
If you need to reverse a cell merge, click onto the merged cell and then choose Unmerge Cells item in the Merge Center menu (see the figure above).
