Hello. I am Sara and I am from the Skills Team in the University Library. This is the third video in the referencing with footnotesseries. In this video we are going to look at how do you reference? So each reference has threeparts. There is the footnote marker in the text so the superscript number that you put inyour your text to show where you are going to put a reference. There is a footnote at thebottom of the page which just gives a little bit of information, so that your lecturercan find that information if they need to and then there is the entry that goes in yourreference list or bibliography at the end ofyour document, where it lists everythingyou have cited in your assignment. There are some conventions to follow when you areputting your references in. When you use the same reference more than once on a page. So if it is thesame as the previous reference you can use ibidin the footnote. So you can see here I havehad two references number two was from D. Harve
