[Music] hello Im here to demonstrate the script that I just made for uh per uh uh closing purchase orders in my Quickbooks um automatically with an auto it script so this is how it works uh Ive got this purchase order closer um little application that I wrote um and Ive got my Quickbooks which should already be open it looks like its it is here uh before I started this I had a ton of purchase orders right now its its been greatly reduced because as Ive been going through it Ive been wiping things these things out as I tested my uh as I tested my app or whatever but the way it works is you have to have this screen open and the script goes in and it double clicks one of these purchase orders as you can see theres theres nothing going on on this its an old its an old date you actually cant see the screen here let me move it theres an old date its from 528 so obviously we never actually used it uh and you know so its not going to be converted into a useful bill for us and w

A purchase order confirmation means that a supplier and its customer have agreed-upon terms, pricing, and delivery dates for an order. The purchase order form is a legally binding agreement at this point.
A common misconception is that POs only serve recordkeeping purposes, but they can be used in a legal dispute. However, POs are not a binding agreement until they are confirmed by the vendor. Once the vendor accepts and signs the PO, it becomes a contract.
In a small company, the owner signs everything, and in a large company, each department head might sign the purchase order. The purpose of signing the purchase order is for the buyer to authorize the purchase and for the supplier to verify that an authorized person indeed issues the purchase.
The shop owner creates a purchase order laying out exactly what they need from the supplier. If the supplier has the inventory to fill the order, theyll accept the purchase order, fulfill it, and deliver the items on the agreed due date. The supplier will then send a bill or sales invoice for the purchased items.
Signatures and Approvals: Upon mutual agreement, the document requires signatures or acknowledgments from both parties, solidifying the acceptance of the terms laid out in the purchase order.
At the point the PO is sent, it is not a contract. There are two ways that a purchase order becomes a contract: One way is if the seller accepts the terms of the purchase order by signing the PO or otherwise expressing acceptance in writing. The other way is by the sellers providing the ordered goods.
A Purchase Order (PO) can only be canceled if (a) goods have not been received, and (b) there are no matched or paid invoices on the PO.
A purchase order issued to and accepted by the vendor will be as legally binding as a contract with or without a human signature in most practical cases. Some of the big corporations routinely issue POs with non-human signature or no signature and theyre contractually valid and binding.
