so im on the bottom swale here and whenever you dig earth works theres a lot of exposed sight a lot of fresh soil gets exposed and a lot of seed thats been previously buried come to the surface and you end up with well call it a weed problem for one of a better expression a weed is just a plant thats in the wrong place but in the case of dock they really are in the wrong place this is going to be prime growing system you know its as good as it gets its um where weve actually shaped the land to grow food so i dont want duck taking over now you can get all sorts of really cool uh bits and bobs to you know dig dock out ive seen all sorts of designs on online but theyre expensive and i dont like the idea of having a single tool for a single job because you end up with a shed full of their tools that you use occasionally and its just not efficient now what i use instead is this this is a trench digging spade its completely steel other than this little wooden bit at the top and
