Clean your screen with a microfiber cloth and a 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and distilled water. This method is one of the best cleaning tricks for your laptop. Use a cotton swab to apply the petroleum jelly to the scratched spot. Rub it in with a microfiber cloth until the petroleum jelly fills up the scratch.
How to Remove Shallow Scratches? Clean the plastic surface with a damp cloth, rubbing in a circular motion around the scratch. Dry the area to remove any dirt which should make the process easier to carry out. Apply a mild abrasive, such as toothpaste, furniture polish, baking soda or plastic polish to the scratch.
While severe scratches typically require a screen replacement, you can remove and fix mild scratches at home. You can try buffing them out with toothpaste (if the screen is plastic), glass polish (if the screen is glass), or erasers. This wikiHow will show you how to get rid of scratches on your mobile device screens.
Staying with the topic of erasers, Magic Eraser sponges are also effective at removing phone screen scratches. Like many of these tricks, it wont work against deep scratches, but smaller surface-level damage can be buffed out.
Petroleum Jelly: The use of petroleum jelly can also be a good option to remove scratches and stains on the laptop screen. For this, apply petroleum jelly to the laptop screen and rub it with a microfiber cloth and leave it for a while. Now after some time, your screen will be cleaned when wiped with a dry cloth.
Dab a small amount of toothpaste onto the end of a cotton swab or clean, soft cloth. Gently rub the cotton swab or cloth in circular motions on the screen until you see the scratch go away. After this, wipe your screen with a slightly dampened cloth to remove any excess toothpaste.
Rub the laptop screen lightly with the help of an eraser. Now after rubbing for 4-5 minutes, the scratch on the laptop screen will disappear immediately. 2. Rubbing Alcohol: Rubbing alcohol is not only a good option to clean the scratches on laptop screens you can also use this to clean the TV and mobile handset.
