To fetch the XML data, use the fetch() function. However, as the Fetch API lacks native XML parsing support, handling the response involves alternative methods. Convert it to text and then parse it using an XML parser like DOMParser. First, use the fetch() function to request the XML file.
To remove a node from the XML Document Object Model (DOM), use the RemoveChild method to remove a specific node. When you remove a node, the method removes the subtree belonging to the node being removed; that is, if it is not a leaf node.
To extract data using an XML source For the XML file location access mode, click Browse and locate the folder that contains the XML file. For the XML file from variable access mode, select the user-defined variable that contains the path of the XML file.
Open the Data tab in the menu bar at the top of the sheet. In the Get Transform group, select the Get Data option. This opens a drop-down menu with several source options to retrieve data from. When importing a downloaded XML file, select From File in the drop menu and click on From XML on the side menu.
Import XML data In the XML Map, select one of the mapped cells. Click Developer Import. If you dont see the Developer tab, see Show the Developer tab. In the Import XML dialog box, locate and select the XML data file (. xml) you want to import, and click Import.
Remove a Text Node xml is loaded into xmlDoc. Set the variable x to be the first title element node. Set the variable y to be the text node to remove. Remove the element node by using the removeChild() method from the parent node.
getValue() This method returns a string representing the value of the current element. You must use the other XML get methods to navigate through an XML document.
