Turn smart quotes on or off Select the AutoFormat As You Type tab, and under Replace as you type, select or clear the Straight quotes with smart quotes check box. (Only in Word) Select the AutoFormat tab, and under Replace, select or clear the Straight quotes with smart quotes check box.
Select the column in which the digits are found in text format. Set the cell format in that column as Number. Choose Edit - Find Replace. In the Search for box, enter ^[0-9] In the Replace with box, enter Check Regular expressions. Check Current selection only. Click Replace All.
Use Find and Replace to Remove Quotes To eliminate double quotes from cells in Excel, utilize the Find and Replace feature. Access this function through the Home tab or by pressing Ctrl+H. In the Find field, enter CHAR(34) to specify the double quote character. Leave the Replace field empty to remove the quotes.
To turn off Smart Punctuation, you can go to Settings General Keyboard, and disable the Smart Punctuation toggle for your iOS device.
Please go to Tools Preferences General and UN-check the box for Use smart quotes. To change smart quotes to straight quotes, press Ctrl + H.
Mac users can also disable smart quotes system-wide by visiting Apple  Menu System Settings Keyboard Text Input Input Sources - Edit, then unchecking Use smart quotes and dashes.
To turn off Smart Quotes while you run replace File Options Proofing AutoCorrect Options (button) AutoFormat as you type (tab). Turn it off (uncheck it) and then replace with until all are done.
You can use an ellipsisthree consecutive periods, with one space around each ( . . . )to leave out extra or unnecessary words. The ellipsis represents information that you are omitting from a quotation.
