A pull-quote can be set in reverse or color, or within a shaded box. As in all display copy, remember to use real quotation marks (the curly kind), and hang your punctuation for a crisp, professional look.
Pull quotes should be shortfrom a few words to a few lines. If the quote is from a person or publication, include the authors name, title, and organization with the pull quote. Exception If the content is entirely about the person being quoted, you dont need to include the attribution. Use pull quotes sparingly.
A pull quote is a small selection of text in an article or a book pulled out and quoted in a different format. Used to attract attention, especially in long articles, a pull quote may be framed by rule lines, placed within the article, span multiple columns, or be placed in an empty column near the article.
By default, jq outputs valid JSON, so strings will appear in double quotation marks ( ). If you need the string without double quotes, add the -r flag to enable raw output: jq -r .
An exact quote should be in quotation marks ( ), or if the quotation is 40 words or more, should be formatted as a block quotation. Then you put an In-Text Citation right after the quotation to show where the quote came from.
