Vitamin B6 is one of the nutrients that may affect your periods. Its found naturally in foods such as eggs, fish, and poultry. Regular supplementation with vitamin B6 may reduce the thickness of the endometrial lining. This, in turn, may lead to lighter bleeding and, potentially a shorter period.
(The maximum safe daily dose of ibuprofen is 2,400 milligrams, or 12 200-mg pills. Take the minimum dosage that works for you.) Right when you get your period, start with 800 mg and then go to 600 mg every six hours.
The first dose should be 3 tablets (600 mg) if the teen weighs over 100 pounds (45 kg). Take with food. Ibuprofen is a very good drug for cramps. Advil and Motrin are some of the brand names.
Always check the label. The usual dose for adults is one or two 200mg tablets or capsules 3 times a day. In some cases, your doctor may prescribe a higher dose of up to 600mg to take 4 times a day if needed. This should only happen under supervision of a doctor.
While ibuprofen is a strong pain reliever, it would take a high dose to affect your period. Stopping a period would require a higher dose than any over-the-counter bottle recommends: about 800 milligrams of ibuprofen, every six hours, or 500 milligrams of naproxen, three times a day, says Russell.
An adult may be able to take 200400 milligrams (mg) per dose every 46 hours, with a maximum of 1,200 mg per day. Taking more than this may lead to severe adverse effects. Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). People take ibuprofen to treat pain, fever, and inflammation.
For menstrual cramps: Adults400 milligrams (mg) every four hours, as needed. ChildrenUse and dose must be determined by your doctor .
Try salt. It has strong dehydrating properties, which means it can absorb water and blood and act as a super stain remover. You just need to make a paste of salt and cold water and apply it on the period-stained area. Let it soak for several hours, if not overnight, before throwing it in the laundry as usual.
