Resolution Note the AMI ID in the error message. Open the Amazon EC2 console, and from the navigation pane, choose AMIs. Choose the AMI that you noted in the error message, open the Actions menu, and then choose Deregister AMI. Use the EC2 console or the AWS CLI to delete the EBS snapshot.
Deleting an instance On the AWS Supply Chain console dashboard, from the dropdown, select the instance that you want to delete. Choose Delete. On the Delete AWS Supply Chain Instance page, under Confirmation, type delete to confirm that you want to delete the instance. Choose Delete.
To delete terminated EC2 Instances, locate the instance you want to delete in the EC2 Console under the Instances page. Click on the instance and select the Terminate option. Once youve selected terminate, you will receive a pop-up confirmation. Click Yes to confirm.
To delete an instance Run describe-instances to check the instance status. To remove the instances Amazon EBS volumes or Elastic IP addresses, add the --delete-volumes or --delete-elastic-ip arguments, respectively.
How To Delete an EC2 Instance Step 1: Log in to AWS Management Console. First, log in to your AWS Management Console. Step 2: Navigate to the EC2 Dashboard. Step 3: Select the Instance to be Deleted. Step 4: Terminate the Instance.
Go to the AWS EC2 console and AMI section. Select the desired AMI. Next, select the Deregister option in the Actions tab. Select the Continue option to deregister.
