In this video, lets us see how to manage data in XML files using excel. What is XML? XML stands for extensible markup language and is primarily used for storing textual data. It is widely used for exchanging data in the internet. An XML files mainly consists of elements and attributes. Let us see the example of the uses of XML and excel in software testing -- in particular test case management. In this example, the tags testcase, external id, execution type denote the elements Attributes are represented by the double quotes within tags. As you can see, the XML files are well structured and is machine readable. Editing an XML file in a text editor is cumbersome. A very tiny single mistake will destory the validity of the entire XML document. Hence it is easier for a machine to read and process XML than humans. This is where excel c
