There is no multi line comment in ASP. In order to comment multiple lines, each line must be preceded by a quote ().
To comment out an entire block of code: Select the code and select Toggle Line Comment(s) from the context menu.
An ASPX file is an Active Server Page Extended file. Open one with your web browser or a text editor like Notepad++. Convert to HTML, ASP, and other similar formats using Visual Studio.
To create a comment in ASP you simply place an apostrophe in front of what you want commented out. The most common practice is to place the apostrophe at the beginning of the line of text like we have in the following example.
Select the lines you want to be commented in your ASPX, HTML, web config file etc and click on the Comment/ Uncomment icon in Toolbar. Alternatively you can use Keyboard shortcut Ctrl+K Ctrl+C to comment and use Ctrl+K Ctrl+U to uncomment.
Click Edit Page. Add a Script Editor web part into your page. Then, Click Edit SNIPPET to insert your HTML code. Finally, click Save or Stop Editing to save our changes. Two, use SharePoint Designer to modify the aspx file directly. Right click the file and choose Edit File in Advanced Mode.
The leading characters // are added to the beginning of each line when commenting one or more lines of code. You can also block comment multiple lines of code using the characters /* */ .
Multi-line comments start with /* and ends with */ . Any text between /* and */ will be ignored by C#.
