The easiest way is to take a towel and soak it in a 1:1 mixture of warm water and bleach. Then wring out the towel, throw it in the dryer, and turn on the dryer until the towel is dry (about 20 minutes). Make sure you clean your dryer very well with fresh water after using bleach.
Removing pen, ballpoint or felt-tip ink stains from material like canvas and cotton is possible even after drying. With hand sanitizer and fabric treatment, you can remove stubborn stains.
Begin by lightly spraying the cotton with hair spray to loosen the stain, then soak for half an hour in a solution of a teaspoon of clear dish soap, one tablespoon of white vinegar, and a quart of warm water. Rinse with clean water and repeat the process if the stain persists.
If the ink stain has dried, start by diluting and saturating the stain with rubbing alcohol. Always test rubbing alcohol on an inconspicuous area of the garment first to make sure it doesnt damage the garment or remove any of the fabric dye.
Clean With Vinegar and Hot Water Using a mixture of equal parts vinegar and warm water, spray the inside of your dryer and allow it to sit for about a minute. Scrub the stains using a damp towel. It may take several minutes and some elbow grease, but the stains should start to disappear.
Solution #1: Ink-based stains Ink is a common culprit for dryer stains but dont panic. Use rubbing alcohol to wipe away the stains.
Vinegar and Hot Water Mix equal parts hot water and white vinegar. Use a damp (but not wet) towel or sponge to wipe the stained surface. Scrub for a few minutes. The ink stains should gradually fade away. Once the stain is gone, wipe the dryer with a clean, damp cloth to remove the vinegar smell.
Because ink is designed to stay on whatever surface you apply it to, when pen marks stain clothing and fabric, machine washing wont be enough to get the stain out. Instead, you need to use a special stain pretreating technique prior to machine washing, starting with clear alcohol-based hand sanitizer gel.
