hi and in todayamp;#39;s microsoft word tutorial iamp;#39;m going to show you how to have a header on just the first page of your document so iamp;#39;ve just opened a random document here with some random text and the first thing i need to do is to enter my header so iamp;#39;m going to double click at the top of my page here alternatively you can go up to insert header or footer and just click on header and then just select the first blank header and iamp;#39;ll just go ahead and insert my text now as you can see this text has appeared on my first page and of course my second page and it would again appear on any subsequent pages so we now have to tell word to split the document into sections so iamp;#39;m going to double click on my text here which will take me out of the headers and footers so iamp;#39;ve just made sure that my cursor is the very bottom of my first page thatamp;#39;s where i want to insert my section break then go up to the layout tab go down to this icon h

Click anywhere in the table. Go to the Table tab on the Ribbon. In the Table Style Options group, select the Header Row check box to hide or display the table headers. If you rename the header rows and then turn off the header row, the original values you input will be retained if you turn the header row back on.
If youd like to insert a specific header or footer on the first page of your worksheet, you can have it done in this way: Change to Page Layout view. Select the header or footer. Go to the Design tab, and check the Different First Page box. Set up a special header or footer for the first page.
First, go to the View tab. Click it and select Print Layout from the menu. Locate the toolbar at the top. Click on Insert and select Header Footer. Click on the option saying Remove Header and voila!
Word has an option for this. While your cursor is in the Header, choose the Design tab under Header Footer Tools then select the checkbox next to Different first page. This allows you to have a special header on the first page of your document.
