To use this method, right click on the file and go to Properties, then click the Details tab. Then click Remove Properties and Personal Information at the bottom of the tab. Check the properties you wish to remove (default is create a copy with all possible properties removed) and click OK.
Use the Document Inspector to Remove Hidden Data To open the Document Inspector, click File Info Check for Issues Inspect Document. The Excel Document Inspection window shown below opens up. Click Inspect to identify hidden content, and then click Remove All to remove the item of your choice.
On the Word menu, click Preferences. Under Personal Settings, click Security . Under Privacy options, select the Remove personal information from this file on save check box. Save the document. Notes: The following personal information is removed from your file:
Click on the Check for Issues button, and then choose Inspect Document. Click on Inspect down in the bottom right corner. It will return the results, and the one you are concerned with is Document Properties and Personal Information. If you want to get rid of it, click on Remove All.
Remove Metadata From Word Using a Mac Open the file from which you would like to remove metadata. Click on the Tools menu and select the Protect Document option. In the Protect Document window check the box next to Remove personal information from this file on save. Finish working on your document and then save.
Follow these steps to identify metadata on a Windows computer for any file you are working with: Right-click on the file. View its Properties. If there is metadata that you would like to remove, select the Details tab. Click Remove Properties and Personal Information.
By default, excel adds personal information to the workbook, which I know how to remove after Ive created and saved the workbook via: File - Info - Check for Issues - Inspect Document - Inspect and then remove Document Properties and Personal Information.
