Use the value() method against an XML type variable. In the following example, an XML instance is stored in a variable of xml type. The value() method retrieves the ProductID attribute value from the XML.
The way to get the value of an attribute, is to get its text value. This can be done using the getAttribute() method or using the nodeValue property of the attribute node.
Remove a Text Node xml is loaded into xmlDoc. Set the variable x to be the first title element node. Set the variable y to be the text node to remove. Remove the element node by using the removeChild() method from the parent node.
RemoveAttribute(String, String) Removes an attribute with the specified local name and namespace URI. (If the removed attribute has a default value, it is immediately replaced).
Use the value() and exist() methods to retrieve values from an XML type column. The following example shows using both the value() method and the exist() method of the xml data type. The value() method is used to retrieve ProductModelID attribute values from the XML.
Extract Values. In the xpath option, we specified the string function and wrapped the XPath in it. It effectively omits the element and prints out the actual text. In the expression, we select the rss element that has its version attribute set to 2.0, and then we provide the rest of the path.
To extract data using an XML source For the XML file location access mode, click Browse and locate the folder that contains the XML file. For the XML file from variable access mode, select the user-defined variable that contains the path of the XML file.
Import XML data In the XML Map, select one of the mapped cells. Click Developer Import. If you dont see the Developer tab, see Show the Developer tab. In the Import XML dialog box, locate and select the XML data file (. xml) you want to import, and click Import.
In the XML Files explorer, right-click the XML file or XML element that you want to remove and click Delete.
xml is loaded into xmlDoc. Set the variable y to be the element node to remove. Remove the element node by using the removeChild() method from the parent node.
