so this is lesson 5 the free code camps HTML CSS section this one deals with commenting out HTML the other lesson was on uncommenting should just kind of put both in one my opinion but so come and tell each tml that says remember that in order to start a comment you need to use there it is and to end a comment you need to use there it is so it says here youamp;#39;ll need to end the comment before your h2 element begins and then it says comment out your h1 element and your P element but leave your h2 element uncommented so soon as they just really want you to see how it works so right now from line two to line eight everything in between its commented out if we only want the h1 and our P element to be commented out and leave this one like that all weamp;#39;d really up do is first of all move this to line four okay and then what is happening thatamp;#39;s okay and then we want to do the same thing to this P element down here so we could just take this oh wait now Iamp;#39;ll move t

Remove all HTML comments There are techniques to remove all comments from the page. One way is to buffer all the pages source code and use a regular expression to remove anything between before outputting the buffers contents.
To comment in HTML, place a tag after the comment text. These tags tell browsers to ignore anything between them. For example, say youre building a website and want to remind yourself or another developer to place an image on a section of a web page.
HTML comments are denoted by . The shortcut key for commenting out code is Ctrl + / . HTML supports both single-line and multi-line comments.
The single line comment is //. Everything from the // to the end of the line is a comment. To mark an entire region as a comment, use /* to start the comment and */ to end the comment.
To comment out HTML code, use the less than symbol ( ) followed by an exclamation mark ( ! ), 2 hyphens ( -- ), the comment, 2 hyphens again ( -- ), and greater than symbol ( ). And there you have it now you can comment your HTML code correctly and safely.
