The idea is to maintain two flag variables, one to indicate that a single line comment is started, another to indicate that a multiline comment is started. When a flag is set, we look for the end of comment and ignore all characters between start and end. Following is C++ implementation of above idea.
How do you write a comment in C? To write a comment in C, use the double forward slash (//) for single-line comments or enclose multi-line comments within /* and */. Single-line comments are used to explain a single line of code, while multi-line comments can explain a block of code or an entire section.
Handling C comments thoroughly is hard. Note that printf(// not a comment\n); does not contain a comment. And printf(/* not the start of a comment\n); doesnt contain the start of a comment. (For the detail-oriented, you can write int j = //; and that is not the start of a comment; ditto int k = /*; .
To remove a comment from a line: Navigate to the desired line. Right-click and select Source Uncomment from the menu. Alternatively, you can press Ctrl+\.
Usage. Remove comments in your code by opening the command palette (Ctrl+Shift+P), choose any of the following commands: Comments: Remove All Comments. Comments: Remove All Comments that have a user entered prefix.
Enter the line number of the line to be deleted using deleteline variable. Then fileptr2 variable is used to open the new file in write mode. While loop is used to print the number of characters present in the file. Is condition statement is used to copy except the line to be deleted.
C,C++,ActionScript, and Java The single line comment is //. Everything from the // to the end of the line is a comment. To mark an entire region as a comment, use /* to start the comment and */ to end the comment.
