Method 1: Using String Replace Method In the first argument, we provide a regular expression /,/g which matches all occurrences of commas in the string. By providing an empty string as the second argument, we effectively remove all commas from the string.
Use the replace function to replace the comma(,) with a empty value. Store the text in a String variable, lets name the variable as InputStr. The above expression will replace the comma with Empty value.
Note that you need 4 escape characters because you need 2 escape characters to create 1 escape character in a string. In other words, \\ creates the string \ . So \\\\ creates the string \\, which escapes the escape in the regex to create the char \ in the regex.
Use the Control + H shortcut to find and replace commas quickly. If you plan to use the find and replace option to remove commas from your Excel spreadsheet, you can use this keyboard shortcut to open the Find and Replace dialog box. This can save you time.
See RTrim(). To remove trailing commas in each row, you would need to loop through them and apply it to each. You could use RegExReplace() to replace all trailing commas in all rows at once.
Run the menu option Edit Begin/End Select. Now, hit the Ctrl + End shortcut to move to the very end of your file. Press and hold down the ALT key and left click after the first comma or dot of the last line to select. Choose, again, the menu option Edit Begin/End Select.
Remove comma from Text String Select the dataset. Click the Home tab. In the Editing group, click on the Find Replace option. Click on Replace. This will open the Find and Replace dialog box. In the Find what: field, enter , (a comma) Leave the Replace with: field empty. Click on Replace All button.
