hey everybody welcome back to the channel my name is george herrera with the queenamp;#39;s home team at keller williams realty in todayamp;#39;s video iamp;#39;m talking about escalation clauses if youamp;#39;re in the market to buy or if youamp;#39;ve been thinking of buying a property you may have heard of this term and you may be confused as to how it works or when you use it so i just wanted to give a broad overview of this negotiating tactic in case you are in a situation where you might be able to use it so an escalation clause what is it itamp;#39;s pretty much what it sounds like itamp;#39;s a clause in your offer so itamp;#39;s a term of your offer uh usually this is always used in multiple offer situations so when itamp;#39;s a competitive property you want to use different types of strategies to try to help you win the bid and escalation clauses can be a good tool in that type of situation so the way it works is that you give an offer and your offer will have a pri
