hey guys itamp;#39;s Jamie and Merry Christmas to everybody who celebrates Christmas and I apologize if you are not watching this at a Christmasy time of year today Iamp;#39;m going to be talking about how to go about picking a new name and how to change it legally and go about changing it on certain documents such as your driving license and passport unfortunately due to my knowledge being limited to the UK the second part of the video will only be relevant to the UK and people needing changing their name in the UK but donamp;#39;t click off just yet if youamp;#39;re not in the UK because the first bit is relevant for everybody hopefully I think relevant if you want to change your name so in terms of picking your new name I think this is a massive step in someoneamp;#39;s transition and it can be quite an exciting step also quite a scary step as well I certainly felt a lot of pressure to pick my name it was a lot easier when my parents just gave me a name I would highly recommend

How do I change the name of my tree in FTM?

Renaming a Tree in Family Tree Maker Select the Plan workspace, then click the New Tree tab. From the Open a tree box (located in the lower-left corner), highlight the tree you want to rename. Click the Options button, then click Rename Tree from the drop-down menu. Enter the new tree name in the field, then click OK.

Does Family Tree Maker still work?

Family Tree Maker editions prior to 2017 are no longer able to sync with Ancestry trees, but older software is still usable as a standalone program. Ancestry search, merge, and hints will continue to work in Family Tree Maker 2019.

Is there a replacement for Family Tree Maker?

Option 2: Move to RootsMagic or Another Tree Program. Of course, there is another great option, and thats RootsMagic. For those who are ready to leave FTM behind this respected and powerful family tree program is a great alternative.

How do you delete facts in Family Tree Maker?

Deleting a fact Go to the Person tab on the People workspace for the appropriate individual. Click the Facts button. Right-click on the fact that you want to delete and select Delete Fact from the drop-down list.

What has happened to Family Tree Maker?

On February 2, 2016, Ancestry.com announced that Software MacKiev, the company that had developed the Mac version of the software for more than six years, would acquire the Family Tree Maker brand, and take over the development and publishing of Mac and Windows editions.

How do you separate trees in Family Tree Maker?

From the People workspace Tree tab, right-click an individuals name in the Pedigree View. Click Export Branch. Select the name of the person who is at the root of the branch you want to export. Click the Next button. Modify the tree name and output options if necessary. Click the Next button.

When was Family Tree Maker discontinued?

On December 8, 2015, Ancestry.com announced that it would discontinue Family Tree Maker. The announcement was met by fierce protest from Family Tree Maker users.
