View or change file attributes To view or change the attributes of a file, right-click the file, and then click Properties. In the Attributes: section, enabled attributes have checks beside them. Add or remove the checks from Read-only, Archive, or Hidden to enable or disable these options.
Open File Explorer and go to the folder that contains your files. Select the file whose attributes you want to change. On the Home tab of the Ribbon, click on the Properties button. In the next dialog, under Attributes, you can set or remove the Read-only and Hidden attributes.
In the PowerShell console, type Remove-Item path c:\testfolder recurse and press Enter, replacing c:\testfolder with the full path to the folder you want to delete.
Right-click on the file. View its Properties. If there is metadata that you would like to remove, select the Details tab. Click Remove Properties and Personal Information.
Use the dir /a command to list all files (including hidden and system files). Then use the attrib command with -h to remove hidden file attributes, -s to remove system file attributes, or -h -s to remove both hidden and system file attributes.
