The files in your Google Drive that you cannot remove are likely owned by someone else. Only the owner of the file can delete it, but you can edit the file if they have given you permission to do so.
For any future viewers, a file you cant delete from your Google Drive is likely a file that was shared with you that you dont have editing access to. Good news, if you open your Google Drive on a laptop browser, you can manually drag the file to the Trash category with your mouse and it will be deleted.
With the file open: Click File. Move to trash. In Drive: Click the name of the file, in the top right, click Remove.
Go to drive.google.com. On the left, click Shared with me. Right click the file you want to remove. Click Remove.
