For example, a person born on 4 August 2022 will be one year old on 4 August 2023. Similarly, someone born on 16 January 2002 will be one year old on 16 January 2003. As of today (i.e. 23 October 2022), they will be 20 years, 8 months and 15 days old. An easy trick is to subtract your date of birth from todays date.
Simply by subtracting the birth date from the current date. This conventional age formula can also be used in Excel. The first part of the formula (TODAY()-B2) returns the difference between the current date and date of birth is days, and then you divide that number by 365 to get the numbers of years.
Once you enter your dates, you can calculate the age in years and months. You can use Excel to take the difference between the dates and divide the result by one month or by 365 days.
Calculate age Data =YEARFRAC(A3,A5) Calculates the year-fractional age between the dates in A5 and A3. =(A5-A6)/365.25 Calculates the age between the dates in A5 and A6, which is 12.08. To account for a leap year occurring every 4 years, 365.25 is used in the formula.14 more rows
=DATEDIF(B2,TODAY(),Y) You can also show the age in years, months, or days with this function too. Whether you use the YEARFRAC function or the DATEDIF function, you can calculate someones age quickly in Excel. You just need to be careful to fill in the needed arguments or parameters in the formula.
Normally we figure out someones age with current date subtracting the given birth date. So does it in Excel. Step 1: Enter current date in a blank cell, such as 2016/9/23 in Cell B2. Step 2: In another blank cell (says cell C2), enter the formula =INT((B2-A2)/365), and press the Enter key.
Calculate Age in Excel Using the ROUNDDOWN Function Step 1 - Choose the cell where you want the age to appear (e.g., cell D2). Step 2 - Type the following formula into the selected cell: =ROUNDDOWN((TODAY() - B2)/365.25,0) Step 3 - Press Enter to execute the formula and display the calculated age.
Calculate the number of years between two dates Excel treats years as values. Use the YEAR function to obtain the year value for each date, and then calculate the difference between the values.
