Hello everybody, welcome to the CSS3 course. In this video, Im going to talk about the ways to style a table. So before I discuss the styling techniques, Im going to show you the web page on the right-hand side, followed by the HTML code on the left hand side. So my website has two tables. And Im going to show you the HTML code corresponding to these two tables. So for the first one, I simply have a caption. And after the caption, I have a table head, okay. And inside the table head, I just include some column headers. And Im able to use this pattern to represent this particular cell element content: nbsp; means Im going to include a non-breaking space character. So here it is a space, and I can simply continue my headers by including the scope equals col attribute-value pair inside the th tab, which is the opening tag, okay. And I can continue to see that the table body is shown below, and on this body I just include some row headers. And after the row headers, I just include

We use inline style attribute, to set the table width in HTML. The attribute is used within the HTML tag, with the CSS property width to set table width.
A style attribute on a tag assigns a unique style to the table. Its value is CSS that defines the appearance of the table.
HTML tables allow web developers to arrange data into rows and columns.HTML Table Tags. TagDescriptionDefines a tableDefines a header cell in a tableDefines a row in a tableDefines a cell in a table6 more rows
To manipulate the height or width of an entire table, place the size attribute (either WIDTH= or HEIGHT=) within the code. To manipulate individual cells, place the size attribute within the code for that cell.
HTML | width Attribute The HTML width Attribute is used to specify the width of a table cell. If width attribute is not set then it takes default width ing to content. Attribute Values: pixels: It sets the width of table in terms of pixels.
You can add borders, fonts, colors, and background colors with HTML code to create an easy-to-read table with alternating background colors for the lines of data. Another way to make a table with beautiful styling that displays simple data (e.g., a pricing table) is to use the HTML list code instead of the table code.
Prerequisites. Setting Up the HTML. Using border and border-collapse to Create the Initial Table Style. Setting the Size of the Table. Targeting a Specific Table Cell. Setting the Font Family for the Table. Styling the Table Caption. Styling the Top Row Header Cells.
For these, we want to do 3 things: Add a bottom border to each row for separation. Add a lighter background to every second row to help readability. Add a dark border to the very last row to signify the end of the table.
