Insert a text box in Office for Mac On the Insert menu, click Text Box. Click in your file where youd like to insert the text box, hold your mouse button down, then drag to draw the text box the size that you want. After youve drawn the text box click inside it to add text.
Put your cursor at the start of the text part you want to move. Hold down Control+Shift and move the right arrow key to select the full section you want to move. To copy and cut your selection, hold down Control+X. Place the cursor where you want your selection to be moved.
You can select a paragraph and right-click on it and drag it to another location.
A text box appears on the page (you can change how the text looks later). Drag the text box to where you want it. If you cant move the box, click outside the box to deselect the text, then click the text once to select its text box.
If youre using Word on Mac, go to the Insert tab, click the Text drop-down arrow, and then the Text Box arrow. You can then choose to draw a simple text box or one where the text inside is vertical. To draw your text box on either platform, drag the crosshairs to create the size you want.
Click on each additional box whilst holding the Shift key. This will add each new text block to the selection. Once all are selected, choose Text-Text Box-Merge Vertically to join the separate boxes into one.
Click outside the text box then click back inside it in order to select the boxand then drag it into position on the page. (Alternatively, press -Return to select the box when youre in text-entry mode.)
Click the View button in the toolbar, then choose Page Thumbnails. Click a page thumbnail (in a page layout document) or section (in a word-processing document) to select it, then drag it to a new location (in the sidebar).
