Also known as a melamine sponge, the magic eraser is a great way to remove Blu Tack from the wall. All you have to do is add water and watch the magic happen. If you already have a magic eraser at home, then you dont have to buy a new product to know how to get Blu Tack stains off walls.
Here is a list of the different liquids which can dissolve Blu Tack: White vinegar. Citrus cleaner. Acetone. Laundry detergent. Olive, vegetable or eucalyptus oil.
First give the area of the blue tack stain a very gentle sand with a 200 grit sand paper, just lightly as there is no need to take the paint off, next brush or roll a the affected area with a coat of Ronseal Stain Block and allow to dry completely.
Roll it slowly from the edges: Start at the top and roll the Blu Tack down slowly from the edges into a cylinder-like shape. This method avoids pulling off paint or wallpaper and leaves no sticky residue behind.
You will need: Chewing gum remover, lighter fuel, a citrus based cleaner or sugar soap Clean, dry cloth or kitchen paper 1. Simply roll away the old Blu Tack remnants, apply a small amount of your chosen cleaning product to a section of the cloth or kitchen paper and dab (dont rub!) the affected area.
