Use WD-40 All Purpose Oil to Get Blu Tack Off Your Walls Spray a little onto that stubborn stain and watch it vanish in seconds. Blot off the WD-40 with a soft cloth or a dry paper towel. WD-40 will dissolve most adhesives, its famous for getting things moving, so take care not to overspray.
White vinegar has always been a great resource for removing tricky stains in carpets and toilets, but you can also use it for removing Blu Tack. The best thing about white vinegar is that it has fewer chemicals and wont damage the walls.
Another common method for removing Blu Tack is white vinegar. This is one of the things which will dissolve it, and therefore make it easier to remove. The first thing to do is to gently heat the vinegar, if you can, by popping it in the microwave for 10-15 seconds.
Spray a citrus-based stain solution onto the wall. Take a bottled stain remover and spritz it over the stained area of the wall. Apply as much as needed, or until the sticky tack stain is completely covered.
Its especially useful for removing oil-based stains, but it can also tackle grass, rust, and coffee spots.
Blu Tack is great for both children and adults, however we advise not giving it to children under the age of three. Blu Tack can be used on non-porous surfaces such as glass, metal and plastic, as well as painted surfaces and vinyl coated wallpaper.
If the surface underneath the Blu Tack is old, delicate or porous, there may be a mark left behind by the sticky tack. Chewing gum remover, a citrus based cleaner, sugar soap or lighter fuel can sometimes remove the residue left behind.
Blu Tack Removal Method 6# -Use Rubbing Alcohol Step 1: Pour a little bit of rubbing alcohol to a clean cloth in order to dampen it. Step 2: Press the alcohol into the fibres until the area is saturated. Step 3: Use a butter knife to scrape the putty adhesive residue off the rugs.
