You can change the settings at any time, even if you have a document open. Choose Pages Settings (from the Pages menu at the top of your screen), then click Rulers at the top of the settings window. Click the Ruler Units pop-up menu, then choose an increment (Points, Centimeters, or Inches).
Set document margins in Pages on iPad Tap. Tap More Options at the bottom of the controls. In More Options view, drag the double arrows on the top, bottom, and sides of the document to set the margins. When youre finished, tap Done in the top-left corner to close More Options view and return to the document.
Choose File Page Setup. Click the Paper Size pop-up menu, then choose Manage Custom Sizes. Double-click the new untitled name in the list, then type a name for your custom size. Type the width and height of the paper in the Width and Height fields.
In Pages, you can select File at the top of the page and then Export to. This makes a pop-up window appear. Choose the format to which you want to change your file. In the drop-down menu, you can select a different file type for your document and then click Next.
Change page orientation to landscape or portrait Select the content that you want on a landscape page. Go to Layout, and open the Page Setup dialog box. Select Landscape, and in the Apply to box, choose Selected text.
Save a copy of a Pages document in another format Open the document, then choose File Export To [ file format] (from the File menu at the top of your screen). Specify export settings: If theres a password checkbox, do one of the following:
In the Document sidebar, click the Document tab at the top. Select a page orientation (portrait or landscape). You can use only one page orientation for your document. Pages doesnt support a mix of pages in portrait and landscape in the same document.
Set a default font and font size for Basic templates Choose Pages Settings (from the Pages menu at the top of your screen). Click General, then select the tickbox next to Set font and size for new Basic documents. Click the Font pop-up menu and choose a font.
