all right welcome to part three of the beauty of brushwork class three and uh getting them ready to do a couple quick demos well I should hedge my bets and say at least one quick demo um this is a different technique of oil painting that I like to do a lot um sometimes out Plein Air painting sometimes just a great way for me to uh to start my painting its just the idea being that I am going to get my values my lights and my darks my design in and I will get kind of a nice glow to it um right away uh so first thing Im going to do is brush in a bit of Indian yellow Just a Touch of paint thinner just so it flows across there and I dont need to use Indian yellow for this um and you can use in fact any color Im just kind of chasing a little bit of a sense of glow and youll understand it when you uh see whats going on here why I did this yellow underneath Im giving that just a second or two or a minute or two to sit on the canvas what its doing is because I have uh gesso under there
