Do you know that itamp;#39;s really easy to get all the Wi-Fi passwords from a Windows computer? This command netsh wlan show profile shows us all the Wi-Fi profiles stored on this computer and as you can see here is one called O.MG thereamp;#39;s a TP-Link one and there are various other Wi-Fi networks. To see the password of a Wi-Fi network we can use the command netsh wlan show profile the name of the network now you donamp;#39;t always have to put this in quotations but if you have a problem then use quotation marks key=clear is going to show us the password in clear text. So if I press enter notice there is the password. If you add | findstr Key with an uppercase K thatamp;#39;ll just show you the password and if I did that for another Wi-Fi network in this case the TP-Link Wi-Fi network notice the password is that. GNOME Keyring is a software application designed to store security credentials such as usernames, passwords, and keys, together with a small amount of relevant metadata. The sensitive data is encrypted and stored in a keyring file in the users home directory.
The keyring is used to encrypt passwords stored in Chromes password manager. Normally its automatically unlocked for use when you sign into your account. If you enabled the sign in automatically option though, it is never unlocked and so prompts you for a password.
Keyring is a Linux security feature that stores passwords, SSH keys, GPG keys, and certificates in encrypted form. It uses the accounts login password as its password to unlock by default. Therefore, we dont need to unlock the keyring explicitly, as it automatically unlocks at login using the accounts password.
