Welcome to the Running the WRF Model talk. Before proceeding, ensure you have gone through the Running the WRF Pre-processing System talk, which covers data preparation using real atmospheric data. It may be helpful to download the model code. Remember to jot down any questions you have. The WRF model workflow includes two main programs: an initialization program for producing initial/boundary conditions, and the WRF model itself for time integration. When running the model for real atmosphere, begin with the three WPS programs using prepared domain and data, followed by the model program. Idealized initial conditions can also be used for model runs.
