Turn on Track Changes to show edits made in a document, and use Show Markup to show the types of revisions youd like to display. Select Review Track Changes to turn it on. Make edits in your document and Word captures any edits you make. Select Review Track Changes to turn it off.
You can track changes to body text and text in text boxes, shapes, and footnotes (including document and section endnotes). When tracking is turned on, changed text appears in a different color from the surrounding text, and change bars appear in the margin.
You can hide existing tracked changes temporarily by choosing No Markup in the Display for Review box. That helps you see what the document will look like when its final, but changes will show up again the next time anyone opens it.
Redlining is a built-in feature in a Word document that shows the removal or addition of text. Removing text causes a red line to strike through all the deleted words. Adding words to the document causes a red line to appear under the inserted text.
To Copy/Paste Text with Tracked Changes: Press Ctrl + F3. (NOTE: This will cut the selected text, but you can press Ctrl + Z for Undo to undo removing the text from the original document.) In the document in which you wish to paste, click where the text should go.
You can add or review changes and comments as you scroll through a document on your iPad or iPhone. When Track Changes is turned on, Word uses a unique color to mark the changes made by each author.
Mark the TOC Entries within the entire document (Alt+Shift+O). E.g.: Select script to use as Heading, press Alt+Shift+O, choose the outline Level 1, 2, or 3, click Mark.
METHOD 1 Select Review tab Display for Review No Markup. If you select Review tab Display for Review No Markup, Word will display your document as if you had accepted all the tracked changes in the document.
