2G Horizontal Root Pass Keyhole Technique. Hello, everyone. Today were going to weld the stainless pipe in the horizontal position. Ill do ROOT PASS with keyhole technique. There are many ways to weld the keyhole. Among them, today were going to use Walking The Cup Technique to weld. I used a little iron plate to do TACK. Here here So I did TACK in three places. I put Scotch tape between the two pipes. I used transparent tape to record. But paper tape has better adhesion than Scotch tape. The reason for attaching the tape is to prevent the Purge Gas inside the pipe from leaking out. This is a 3.2mm welding rod. The gap is about 4mm in size. Im going to weld it from here to there. Then we will remove the iron plate and continue with the rest of the welding. Before you start welding, make sure that the gas purge inside the pipe is good before welding. When you start welding, make a bridge between the two pipes first. After that, you can make a keyhole. When welding

The tack is the corner on a fore-and-aft sail where the luff (the forward edge) and foot (the bottom edge) connect and, on a mainsail, is located near where the boom and mast connect.
When referring to a change in direction, position, or course of action, the correct phrase is to change tack. This is in reference to the nautical use of tack which refers to the direction of a boat with respect to sail position. This phrase has long been confused as change tact but this is technically incorrect.
To rig the gennaker, you should: 1. Attach the tack of the gennaker to the bowsprit; 2. Attach the gennaker halyard to the head of the sail; 3. Run the dowsing line through the retrieval points on the sail; 4.
The neck on the luff is firmly attached to the bow, or better yet, to the bowsprit, the two sheets to the clew, and clearly the halyard to the head. Due to its asymmetrical design, you can sail higher upwind with gennaker than with a spinnaker, although the sail area is almost the same.
The need for tacking Sailing ships cannot proceed directly into the wind, but often need to go in that direction. Movement is achieved by tacking. If a vessel is sailing on a starboard tack with the wind blowing from the right side and tacks, it will end up on a port tack with the wind blowing from the left side.
a line connected to and that controls an asymmetrical spinnakers tack. The line allows for positioning the a-sails tack to suit wind conditions and for adjusting the spinnakers luff tension.
After attaching the tack of the gennaker to the bowsprit, grab the head of the sail. Follow the luff from tack to head, untwisting the sail as you go. Attach the gennaker halyard to the head with a bowline, making sure that the halyard runs in front of the forestay.
