Go to Review Track Changes. In the Track Changes drop-down list, select Off.
Track Changes is a feature in Microsoft Word that allows a person to edit a document on the computer and return it to the original owner electronically. It shows what has been changed, who changed it, and other comments that are added by the editor.
Revise the document, and save it by going to File and clicking on Save. Print out a copy of the revised document showing the tracked changes. Hide the tracked changes by going to View and clicking on Markup. Print a clean copy of the document.
What to Do If You Cant Turn Track Changes Off. If Track Changes is grayed out and you cant click it, your documents author has locked the feature. In this case, youll need the password (if one was set up) that was used to lock the feature to unlock it.
Accept or reject changes Click or tap at the beginning of the document. On the Review tab, go to Tracking. Select Accept or Reject. As you accept or reject changes, Word will move to the next change. Repeat until youve reviewed all of the changes in your document.
Remove Tracked Changes manually or selectively Click the Review tab on the Ribbon. Click the down arrow on Track Changes Track Changes to turn it on or off. Track Changes: On or Track Changes: Off will display on the status bar (bottom bar in the document.)
Simply click the small arrow located in the Track Changes section, this will open more options. In the dropdown menu, click the Display for Review option. There are options for how to want to display the markup; all markup, no markup, simple markup, or original.
