How it works. On the Draw tab, select the Ink to Text Pen tool. NOTE: If your device is touch-enabled, the Draw tab should be enabled automatically. Otherwise, enable it by selecting File Options Customize Ribbon and checking the Draw box.
If Start Inking does not appear on the Review tab in your Microsoft Office application, try this solution. Open the projectors Extended menu and change the following settings in Easy Interactive Function: Set the Number of Pen Users to One User. Set the Pen Operation Mode to Pen.
On the Review tab, tap Display for Review. Tap Show Markup. In the Show Markup list, tap the option you want: Ink shows or hides any marks made by digital inking in the document.
You will find the Hide Ink button under the Review tab in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Clicking it will toggle ink on or off. When the Hide Ink icon is highlighted in grey, ink markup is being hidden. When it is not highlighted, ink markup is being shown.
Find the drawing tools Go to the Review tab and select Start Inking to display the Ink Tools and Pens tab.
Convert your ink drawings to shapes On the Draw tab, select Ink to Shape. (This mode must be turned on before you draw the shape.) Draw the shape of your choice. To continue inking but stop having your drawings automatically converted to shapes, select Ink to Shape once again.
Inking mode is turned on when you have selected a pen or highlighter on the Draw tab. Otherwise, you are in Select mode, and you can tap to select an object. PowerPoint Mobile and Excel Mobile also have an ink selection tool, Lasso Select, , specifically for selecting objects drawn with ink.
