hey everybody bill in virginia and welcome back to my layouts today im going to be uh doing additional work over on the ho scale layout you can see ive got the two pieces that make up my 4x16 layout disconnected got the backdrop off on the far section what i am going to do today is im going to finish up track weathering on that piece as well as doing a deep clean of the track and then put the uh no ox id a special conductive grease on the track and switch points over there last video uh that i did i did the the exact same thing over here on this layout piece works really really good uh smooth operation really like it so rather than do the end scale next like i was talking in that last video its like im going to finish up the ho scale one so im going to take care of the track work over there and then run some trains get the engines back on that side after i get the no ox ida special conductive grease down and uh you know make it so that the entire layout is done from that perspec

Here are the steps to condition your tack: Take one of your tack sponges and apply a small amount of leather conditioner to it. Using that sponge, apply a thin coat of conditioner to all the leather parts of your tack. Rub the conditioner into the leather and into all of the nooks and crannies in your tack.
To clean your tack properly, youll need a sponge, a cloth, warm water, glycerin soap (a bar is best), and a high-quality leather balsam product. Start by using a sponge dampened in clean, warm water to wipe away any sweat and muck from the leather.
The traditional method of leather care is to wipe dust and sweat from your tack immediately after use with a sponge or cloth that is barely moistened with cool water. Then rub a thin layer of glycerin soap on the leather to seal the pores and keep it soft but not sticky.
It only takes about 30 minutes to do a thorough washing on a saddle, using the brush to work up a lather on the leather with the soap and warm water, and the sponge to flush it clean. Washing with warm water opens the pores of the leather to float out dirt particles that have penetrated into it.
