The CCF Code draws together the civil construction-related elements of the established Quality (ISO9001), Workplace Health and Safety (AS/NZS 4801, ISO 45001), and Environmental Management (AS/NZS ISO 14001) Standards into one system, specifically designed for civil construction operations.
CPR stands for cardiopulmonary resuscitation. It can help save a life during cardiac arrest, when the heart stops beating or beats too ineffectively to circulate blood to the brain and other vital organs.
Chest compressions should be restarted without delay after delivery of the shock. Elimination of stacked shocks and extending the duration of CPR from 1 to 2 minutes before post shock rhythm analyses increases CCF from 48% to 69% and is associated with increased survival.
Introduction: Chest compression fraction (CCF) is the cumulative time spent providing chest compressions divided by the total time taken for the entire resuscitation. Targeting a CCF of at least 60% is intended to limit interruptions in compressions and maximize coronary perfusion during resuscitation.
Chest Compression Fraction (CCF) is a measurement of the amount of time during CPR that compressions are being delivered. In the above example, 60% of the CPR time was spent preforming chest compressions. This is the minimum. It is preferred that rescuers spend 80% of time on the chest preforming compressions.
The recommended range for chest compression fraction falls between 60% and 80%. This means that, during a resuscitation attempt, chest compressions should be administered actively for at least 60% to 80% of the total duration.
