To select all of the objects and placeholders on the slide, click Select All. To select objects that are hidden, stacked, or behind text, click Select Objects, and then click and drag over the objects.
Each Shape object in the Placeholders collection represents a placeholder for text, a chart, a table, an organizational chart, or some other type of object. If the slide has a title, the title is the first placeholder in the collection.
In PowerPoint, select View Slide Master. In the Home tab, in the Editing section, select Select Selection Pane. In the slide layout pane, select the layout that contains the content placeholder whose name you want to see. The names of the placeholders used in the slide layout appear in the Selection pane.
Placeholders in PowerPoint allow you to add text or multimedia content to a slide. Adding a text box (Home Insert Text Box) is not recommended because text boxes are not consistently readable by assistive technology. It is best to choose a pre-formatted slide layout that has as many placeholders as you will need.
Move an object to the back or front Select the object. Right-click and select an option: Bring to Front - to move the object in front of all other objects. Send to Back - to move the object behind all other objects.
A ContentPlaceHolder control defines a relative region for content in a master page, and renders all text, markup, and server controls from a related Content control found in a content page.
Video: Stack shapes, pictures, and objects Select what youd like to move up or down in a stack. Note: Press Ctrl and hold to move multiple objects at once. Select Home Arrange. Select one of the following options: Bring Forward: Moves your selected object one layer up.
