Measure columns define the aggregations that the cube calculates. A cube must have at least one measure column. Each measure column defines an expression that contains a C-SQL set function that aggregates other columns from the fact table.
Create a calculated column Create a table. Insert a new column into the table. Type the formula that you want to use, and press Enter. When you press Enter, the formula is automatically filled into all cells of the column above as well as below the cell where you entered the formula.
The column is constructed based on IS code 456:2000. You need to find the minimum clear cover of the column to find the size of the column. If the size of the column is less than 200mm, then the clear cover should be 25mm. You will need to add the diameter of the column with the dia of Stirrup.
Columns shall be measured from top of Column base to underside of first floor slab and subsequently from top of floor slab to underside of floor slab above. In case of Columns for flat slabs, flare of column shall be included with column for Measurement.
We can create a calculated column to reference a measure value like this: Column1= . But you need to note the calculated column values are calculated based on table context so its fixed. To do further calculation, you can use measure directly without creating additional calculated column.
Nowadays minimum size of column used in construction irrespective of small building is 9 X 12 (225mm X300mm). Recommended grade of concrete for building construction is M20 grade, which is in the ratio of 1 : 1.5 : 3 (1 part of cement and 1.5 part of sand and 3 parts of coarse aggregate with 0.5 parts of water).
Column Load Calculation Concrete Volume = 0.3 x 0.60 x 3 =0.54m Concrete Weight = 0.54 x 2400 = 1296 kg. Steel Weight (1%) in Concrete = 0.54 x 0.01 x 7850 = 42.39 kg. Total Column Weight = 1296 + 42.39 = 1338.39 kg = 13.384KN.

The minimum column size should not be less than 9 x9. 9 x9 columns are to be used for a single-story concrete grade M15 (1: 2: 4) structure (cement: sand: aggregate).
The minimum size of a column should not be less than 9x9 for single-story structure with M15 (1:2:4) concrete. If 9x9 columns are to be used in one and half story building, always use M20 (1:1.5:3) concrete. If you use M15 concrete for one and half story structure the column size should not be less than 12x9.
