Alternatively, you can also select Style Normal Text Normal Text or select Clear Formatting at the bottom of the menu (under the Text column) to clear the strikethrough. Doing both will remove all existing formatting from the text, including underlining, italics and bold.
It can also be done from the Format Cells dialog in the same way as in Excel for Windows: Select the cell(s) or part of a cell value you wish to cross out. Right-click the selection and chose Format Cells from the popup menu. In the Format Cells dialog box, switch to the Font tab and select the Strikethrough checkbox:
Just select the text and press Ctrl + D. This shortcut will instantly cross out the words. If you want to remove the strikethrough formatting, select the crossed-out text and click the Strikethrough button again. Easy!
