Simply enlarge your document, add a background color as the background color where the GIF will be placed, then add your shadow to your GIF. This is the only way. If your output is for the web, you can add a CSS property to it and will look better than exporting the shadow in the GIF directly (will be better quality).
In Styles pane, element. style section, change the background-color using the color picker. If the background color of the image changes as you choose the color then you have a transparent PNG/WEBP/GIF.
2:57 6:31 Application now if I scroll. Down here it is. So I want to do a background removal. So Ill click onMoreApplication now if I scroll. Down here it is. So I want to do a background removal. So Ill click on background removal tools and then it says right here recommended for GIF Graphics.
it depends how you are saving it. If you have Photoshop Layers, and you remove or delete the background so that it is transparent --- it will stay transparent in the PSD file, but if you try to export to export it for the web you might see a WHITE background for GIF, PNG, and JPEG.
Can parts of GIF be made semi-transparent? Unfortunately no, the GIF format doesnt support partial (alpha-channel) transparency, meaning any pixel can only be fully tansparent or fully opaque, so its not possible to make partially transparent GIFs and achieve anti-aliasing effect against different backgrounds.
The GIF standard lets you specify one color as the transparent color; any background color or image on your page will shine through the area of the image that has that particular color. For example, the image at the left below has no transparency. You see the gray background of the image itself.
