hey everyone welcome to episode eight um starting some framing last episode you saw the silt detail in the field uh you saw the pony walls going up this episode were going to talk about a little bit more of the framing in the sense of the zip system going up mainly and maybe get into some more details uh around the subfloor as well uh if not well get into that next episode but for now lets go into what our choice was so we used a zip r and we did r6.6 which is what their uh rating is for that uh sheathing so thats what we chose well go uh on the outside well do cladding rain screen zip with the zip bar and then on the inside well go blown in blown in insulation which will put us at about r30 its a pretty efficient given that we just added this this r6 on the outside which really helps with a bunch of things uh the main being the the insulation uptick you dont have to really mess with your window detailing as much given that its built into the framing so you dont have to worr
