There is no line break element or equivalent in DITA. Topic titles are used to form the heading in the output deliverable document, as well as for other constructs such as link text and metadata values. Writing accurate, concise and consistent topic titles is an important challenge for DITA authors.
Enter the text you want to strikethrough with ~ before and after it. The ~ is found by tapping the 123 (iOS) or ? 123 (Android) button, then the #+= (iOS) or =\
Is there a Word strikethrough shortcut? Select the text you want to strike through. Press Ctrl+D. A font dialog box will appear. Press Alt+K. The strikethrough feature should now be selected. Press OK. The text will now have a line through it.
Go to the Font tab in the Format Cells dialog box. Check the Strikethrough box. Optionally, you can make other formatting changes, such as setting a light grey font color for crossed-out entries. Click OK to close the Format Cells dialog box.
Its a convenient way to visually convey that something has been crossed out without completely removing it from the text. This can be particularly helpful when youre collaborating with others on documents, making revisions, or discussing changes.
