everyone good morning Iamp;#39;m just going to go for background effects got this sign Joyceamp;#39;s perch and Iamp;#39;ve done it itamp;#39;s all wrapped it out but I want to get I donamp;#39;t want a smooth background I want a gouge defect with pine I donamp;#39;t like to really do some with backgrounds because itamp;#39;s so chippy itamp;#39;s it takes so much work I donamp;#39;t think itamp;#39;s really worth it so what Iamp;#39;m going to do is Iamp;#39;m going to use three chisels somebody is 25 mil number 5 16 mill number 5 and 1 number 7 gouge to take out of that background now the trick to doing this without damaging the letters is to give yourself a cut line around the line so I used a 60-degree V groove and I havenamp;#39;t quite roof back run all the way down to the bottom of that line thatamp;#39;s my cut line for the gouges I just want a real subtle effect that way you donamp;#39;t have to get right up to the letter U stop just short so weamp;#39;re gonna
